Some great small business links
http://wwww.istockphoto.com
This site provides royalty-free stock photography at extremely inexpensive prices
(.50 per photo) as compared to between $149 and $499 per photo elsewhere. It has a
searchable database so that you can find the types of photos you're looking for by keyword.
http://www.incorporate.com When you are starting
out in business, a personal attorney can be quite expensive, particularly if you're on
a tight budget. I've used incorporate.com many times and was always satisfied with
their service and was happy with the price. They do good work.
http://www.pdf-fillableforms.com To create fillable pdf forms, you can purchase software to do it yourself, or for an extremely low price, these guys will program it for you
http://www.pdf995.com This pdf utility allows you to print out a pdf from anything - word, internet explorer, another pdf - very helpfull.
http://www.kall8.com This is a phone service that allows you to change the "ring to" number immediately - you can set up certain times for the calls to ring through to one number during the day and another number at night. Most impressive - it automatically records the phone calls for quality control and sales analysis.
http://www.logoworks.com These guys provide fabulous
looking professional logos every time. I have used many logo designers prior and gotten "OK" results. The last five or six logos I've been involved with, I've done exclusively through
logoworks. I think part of the reason you get a great product with them is that they put six
different designers on the project, so you get more than one person's creative input.
Their turnaround is very quick (48 hours) and is all managed through a very well thought out
web interface.
http://zapdata.com This is a reseller of Dun and Bradstreet
data that allows you to create a customized list in real time. You can customize your target
list based on how many employees the business has, how much revenue, etc., plus get detailed
information on the ownership and management of the company. You can license, pay for, and
download your list immediately online.
http://j2.com - I have used a J2 fax number for several years now.
It is very convenient to have all of your faxes routed directly into your email. What's more,
if you have a high volume of faxes coming in, their services can handle it. I've previously
tried to solve the problem of gettting a volume of faxes by daisy chaining several fax machines
together and using "call busy forwarding" from the phone company so that when one fax machine
line was busy, the call would get routed to the next fax machine in the line up. But then you
still have issues with toner and memory and running out of paper. J2 has been the best, most
easy to implement solution I've found. Their free service is a bit spotty and I wouldn't
recommend it. However, their corporate paid service is quite good.
