Some of my favorite technological gadgets:
TIVO

I absolutely LOVE the convenience of DVRs (Digital Video Recorders). TIVO got me out of being "tied" to the television and now I watch only what really matters to me and I save time doing it.
PODCASTS
I LOVE being able to listen to intelligent shows at the time and place of my choosing instead of tuning into whatever mindless chatter is going on at the moment on the radio.
Recording ideas on the fly

I carry a personal recorder because I constantly think of "to do" items, tidbits I'd like to
research, or good ideas. I've found that if I get these various items down on paper or
recorded, that it keeps the creative flow going. If I let the ideas kind of pile up in
my head, the flow gets cut, plus I end up forgetting many of the good ideas and then waste
time later pondering "what was that important thing/idea that I thought of earlier?"
Magic Jack
For only $39 your first YEAR and $20 per YEAR thereafter you have unlimited phone calls over your high speed internet connection. You can use this as a call forwarding device, or flat out plug a regular phone into it and make and receive phone calls.
Ring Central and Linksys IP
With ringcentral.com and the linksys SPA921 IP phone, you have the ability to set up a national or international organization that is seamlessly connected just like you are all in the same office for a ridiculously low price.
